The Selene System at the Georgia Museum of Art, University of Georgia

The Selene PSS was installed in October 2025 at the Georgia Museum of Art, where it is being used to scan prints by U.S. southern artist William J. Thompson. The museum plans to apply photogrammetry to Thompson’s sculptural work following a three-day workshop led by Pedro Miró for the museum staff, held the week prior to the Selene PSS installation.

Recording efforts have also begun on objects from the Parker Collection — a group of military medals and orders that reflect the symbolic systems and social values of Imperial Russia.

The Georgia Museum of Art is currently exploring broader digital initiatives across several holdings, including the Pierre Daura Collection, the Brenda and Larry Thompson Collection, and the Parker Collection. Factum Foundation remains in close contact with the team as it expands its digital infrastructure and develops new approaches to interdisciplinary research and teaching, with the Selene PSS playing a key role.

On 9 October, Jorge Cano gave a presentation about Factum Foundation, the Selene PSS, and the Selene Circle to an audience of around 40 people from the University of Georgia, as part of the training and installation visit.
