In early July, a team of Factum experts carried out the 3D and colour digitisation of the painting at the Palacio de Liria, using the Lucida 3D Scanner and panoramic composite photography. The resulting data will be added to Fundación Casa de Alba‘s archives as an accurate record of the painting’s surface condition and will also be used by Factum to produce an exact facsimile. This will allow visitors to experience the work in its original context even when the painting is temporarily on loan.
