The original cave was recorded in high resolution in spring 2019 using a combination of LiDAR, photogrammetry, and panoramic photography to capture the details of the cave — believed to function as a prehistoric solar calendar.
The replica was made at Factum Arte’s workshops in Madrid using CNC milling to create several sections of the cave. Each section was hand-painted using high-resolution colour data as reference, faithfully recreating the cave’s unique architecture and carvings in the highest detail.
