‘Las fachadas de Comares (Alhambra de Granada) y Pedro I (Alcázar de Sevilla): Estudio comparativo de materiales y técnicas de ejecución’ (A‐HUM‐282‐UGR20) aims at proposing a digital restoration of the polychrome surface that used to adorn the Comares façade in one of the courtyards of the Alhambra in Granada. In late January despite not being able to use scaffolding due to the high number of people visiting the Alhambra every day, Pedro Miró was able to acquire accurate digital data using photogrammetry.
The digital recording of cultural heritage is an essential task to document and study monumental artworks of such importance as the Comares facade in the Alhambra. Digital 3D data can facilitate both its conservation and transmission to future generations.
